Description & History

The Louis Vuitton Estrella MM is a Monogram tote designed for those who don't pretend to travel light — large, structured, open-top, capable of swallowing a laptop with ease. An active woman's bag, with a clean architecture and ample capacity.

The Estrella was launched in the mid-2000s as a continuation of the wave of functional totes that Marc Jacobs developed for Louis Vuitton — bags designed for movement, the city, and travel. Its name evokes a star, and its silhouette is inspired by large travel bags with a wide opening. The MM — medium size — is the most versatile format in the line: large enough to hold a 13-inch laptop and a toiletry bag, yet slender enough not to overwhelm the silhouette. A bag that has disappeared from the official catalog, making it difficult to find in good condition today.

This 2017 model features a uniform and even vachetta patina — a warm caramel, well-established on the trim, base, and handles. The canvas is clean. The corners and handles show light rubbing from use, with no major flaws. The beige Alcantara interior is in good condition with light traces of prior use.
